At the event, Paco will share his\nglobal perspective on consumer trends and discuss his new book, <em>How We Eat \u2013\nThe Brave New World of Food and Beverages<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doc Ogden, Chair\nof the Board for CRS, is thrilled to bring Paco to the Lehigh Valley. \u201cPaco is\npassionate, insightful, motivating, and a dear friend. If you have an interest\nin the retail industry, and even if you don\u2019t, Paco is not one to be missed!\u201d\nsaid Ogden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paco Underhill is a Simon &amp; Schuster author of multiple\nglobal bestselling books \u2013 including <em>Why We Buy:&nbsp; The Science of Shopping<\/em>, published in 28\nlanguages and used in design schools and MBA programs.&nbsp; Underhill is the founder and former CEO of\nEnvirosell, Inc., a NYC-based behavioral research and consulting firm with\nglobal offices.&nbsp; With an impressive\nclient list, the company operates in 47 countries and has been profiled in The\nNew Yorker Magazine, Smithsonian Magazine, and others.&nbsp; Underhill is also a columnist for Design:\nRetail, The Robin Report (Goldman Sachs \u2013 Intel Newsletter) and writes articles\nand op- eds for major magazines and newspapers, including a recent op-ed in\nToronto\u2019s Globe and Mail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having been a keynote speaker in 50 countries, Paco\u2019s talks\nhave ranged from the Future of Communications, Emerging Market Mall\nInnovations, The Future of Caring, The Re-Invention of Clean, &nbsp;&nbsp;Dealing with a PostPan World, The Science of\nShopping and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paco grew up in South East Asia and Eastern Europe, before\nreturning to the U.S. for high school.&nbsp;\nHe attended Columbia University and Ehwa University, in Seoul, Korea before\ngetting his undergraduate degree from Vassar College.&nbsp; As an adjunct instructor in the Doctorial\nprogram in Environmental Psychology at City University, Paco developed a way of\nusing a motion picture camera to measure how people move \u2013 the roots of his\nresearch and consulting practice.&nbsp; He has\nspent the past 40 years as an inventor of tools to understand human behavior\nand predict the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The April 28\nevent will be held in the auditorium at Gambet Hall and doors will open to\nticketed guests at 6pm for a book signing, meet and greet, and networking. The\nformal presentation will begin at 7pm.
