(January 13, 2020) \u2013 The cannabis industry has seen significant growth in recent years as businesses and consumers are realizing the benefits of medical marijuana, CBD and industrial hemp.\u00a0 The increasing level of demand has brought about opportunity and jobs for entrepreneurs. The Council for Retail and Sales (CRS) will explore these opportunities in their upcoming educational symposium titled the Business of Cannabis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CRS is part of\nLehigh Valley LaunchBox, Penn State Lehigh Valley\u2019s innovation hub. This\nfull-day event will be held on March 11, 2020, at the Penn State Lehigh Valley\ncampus in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Industry experts\nwill delve into all aspects of the cannabis industry such as legal and human\nresources, marketing and branding, banking and financing, retail layout and\nmore.&nbsp; Special guest Jack Maxwell, from\nTravel Channel\u2019s Booze \u201cTraveler\u201d show, will discuss his experience with cancer\nand being a medical marijuana patient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event\nfeatures the following highlights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wednesday, March 11, 2020<br> 8:15-8:45 a.m. Registration, continental breakfast, networking<br> 8:45 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Program to include speakers, breakout sessions, lunch and more<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4:00-5:00 p.m. Cannabis Marketplace, networking<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main speakers include Tyrone Russell, President of the\nCleveland School of Cannabis, who will provide an overview of the industry and\njob outlook.&nbsp; Corbett Hefner, Vice\nPresident of R&amp;D, Formation Ag (Colorado) will discuss innovations in the\ncultivation of hemp.&nbsp; Joan and Victor\nGuadagnino, founders of Keystone Canna Remedies, will review the successes and\nchallenges of running a medical marijuana dispensary.&nbsp; Jeff Adkins, Sr. Vice President, Milford\nEnterprises will present on various retail plans for businesses in the\nindustry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lunch will feature a panel discussion, \u201cPA Politicians: The\nState of the State,\u201d with the following panelists:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman<\/li><li>State Senator Judy&nbsp;Schwank<\/li><li>State Representative Mike Schlossberg<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Fetterman will\nalso deliver remarks on the state of cannabis in Pennsylvania. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Event sponsors\ninclude the Cleveland School of Cannabis, Milford Enterprises, Keystone Canna\nRemedies and High Expectations Marketing.&nbsp;\nAlong with the event sponsors, several other cannabis-related businesses\nwill be present throughout the day during the breakout sessions.&nbsp; The Cannabis Marketplace will be available to\nguests during scheduled breaks and before\/after the programming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To purchase tickets for the event, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cvent.com\/d\/8hqzhm\">click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Penn State Lehigh\nValley<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Penn State Lehigh Valley provides a Penn State University education in a small campus setting that integrates individualized teaching, research, and dynamic community outreach.
